NASHVILLE, TN – The first weekend of spring brings a mix of sunshine and rain for Middle Tennessee, with warming temperatures leading into potential Sunday storms. While Friday and Saturday will see pleasant conditions, a weather shift Sunday could bring rain and possible thunderstorms.
According to the National Weather Service, Friday will be partly sunny with a high near 62°F, as light south winds increase up to 20 mph. Friday night remains calm with lows around 44°F and mostly clear skies, creating ideal conditions for outdoor plans.
Saturday continues the warming trend, reaching a high of 69°F with sunshine and mild winds. However, clouds will begin moving in Saturday night, signaling a potential change in weather patterns.
Sunday’s forecast calls for increasing cloud cover with a 70% chance of showers in the afternoon and evening. A few thunderstorms are possible, with gusty winds reaching 30 mph. Temperatures will climb to 73°F, but cooling begins Sunday night as heavier rain moves in, bringing an 80% chance of showers overnight.
The start of next week looks drier, with mostly sunny conditions Monday and Tuesday and highs in the mid-60s. While Sunday’s storms could disrupt travel, conditions are expected to improve by Monday morning.
