Nashville, TN – A significant rain system will move into Middle Tennessee on Thursday, bringing steady showers and gusty winds through the weekend. Residents should prepare for wet roads, reduced visibility, and potential minor flooding in low-lying areas.

According to the National Weather Service, rain will begin late Thursday morning, with a 70% chance of showers increasing to 100% overnight. Winds will pick up to 15 mph, with gusts reaching 25 mph. Temperatures will stay mild, with highs near 60°F.

Friday brings continued rain, mainly in the morning, with a 60% chance of showers. Winds will shift south at 10 to 15 mph before calming overnight. Weekend conditions will improve, with partly sunny skies Saturday and highs in the upper 50s. Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 67°F.

Drivers should use caution on roadways, especially along I-24 and I-65, as wet conditions may cause delays. Those planning outdoor activities should prepare for rain Thursday and Friday but expect drier conditions by Saturday afternoon.
