Nashville, TN – A 33-year-old man was shot while driving a rented Tesla in Nashville earlier this summer, and police are still working to identify the individuals involved.

According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the incident occurred on Tuesday, June 10, on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard near Clarksville Pike. Detectives with the Non-Lethal Shooting Unit believe at least three suspects were involved. Investigators allege the suspects followed the victim’s vehicle from the James Cayce neighborhood before opening fire on the driver’s side of the Tesla.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound to the shoulder and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His condition was not disclosed.

Authorities stated that the suspects fled the scene in a maroon Jeep. Photos released by the department show two of the alleged suspects as well as a third person of interest who was reportedly not inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
