Lebanon, TN – A Wilson County jury has found 41-year-old Adrian A. McClean guilty of first-degree murder and three counts of aggravated robbery in connection with the June 29, 2024, robbery and shooting at Cedar Creek Marina and Restaurant. Sentencing on the robbery charges is scheduled for January 9, 2026.
According to the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and Mt. Juliet Police officers responded just after midnight to a reported armed robbery at the restaurant on Saundersville Road. Armed suspects allegedly assaulted two employees, forced them to open the cash safe, and fled the business. Both victims were treated at the scene.
As the suspects left, 27-year-old Bailey Gardner of Kansas, who had no connection to the robbery, was shot in the parking lot and later died from his injuries despite life-saving efforts.
Following a joint investigation, McClean was arrested in Nashville with the help of Metro Nashville Police Department’s SWAT and Homicide units. Authorities later confirmed his citizenship status had expired before the crime.
Sheriff Robert Bryan called the verdict “a measure of justice” for Gardner’s family and said acts of violence in Wilson County “will not be tolerated.”
Two additional suspects remain at large. A $15,000 reward is being offered for information leading to their arrest. Anyone with tips is urged to contact the Wilson County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division at (615) 444-1459 or submit information anonymously.
Law enforcement agencies assisting in the case included the Mt. Juliet Police Department, Metro Nashville Police, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, U.S. Secret Service, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
