Tennessee Hit-and-Run: Juvenile Girl Struck While Waiting for Bus

Farragut, TN – A juvenile female was injured in a hit-and-run while waiting at a bus stop early this morning in Farragut. According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Thornton and Hughlan Drive. A passerby noticed the girl lying on the ground just as the school bus arrived.

The victim was transported to The University of Tennessee Medical Center, where she remains under observation. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed she was injured but did not provide an update on her condition.

The vehicle involved in the hit-and-run is currently unidentified. Authorities are urging residents in the area to check their security cameras for any footage that might help identify the vehicle and driver responsible.

“If you live in the area, please check your cameras to see if they have captured any pertinent footage,” the Sheriff’s Office stated. “Anyone wishing to provide information can remain anonymous.”
