Nashville, TN – Tennessee residents should prepare for a significant rise in temperatures as a heatwave grips the state this weekend. Starting Saturday, temperatures will climb into the 90s, with Saturday reaching 91°F under clear skies.
The heat intensifies further on Sunday with a high of 93°F, while Monday brings even hotter conditions at 96°F. By Tuesday, the mercury is expected to push near 99°F, making it the hottest day of the week. According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, the heat index on Tuesday could easily surpass 100°F.
Residents are urged to stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities, especially during peak hours between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Heat relief remains unlikely until Friday, when temperatures dip slightly to around 90°F.
This heatwave isn’t just a concern for Nashville. Surrounding areas such as Clarksville and Cookeville will also experience soaring temperatures. The National Weather Service warns that the chance of temperatures exceeding 100°F in Nashville is 55% on Tuesday and 35% on Wednesday.
