Memphis, Tenn. – A string of sun-soaked days with highs in the mid-90s will grip Memphis and much of western Tennessee through the July 4th weekend, with no rain in sight until Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Memphis, temperatures will climb steadily through Sunday, peaking near 95°F by Saturday and continuing through Sunday. Winds will stay light—under 5 mph—and shift gradually from northwest to southeast during the period, providing little relief from the heat.

The entire metro area, including Bartlett, Germantown, and Southaven, will see clear skies during the holiday, making it ideal for fireworks but increasing the risk of heat-related illness. Outdoor plans should include frequent hydration and shaded breaks, especially for seniors and children. Calm nights with lows in the low-to-mid 70s will offer minimal overnight cooling.

The first chance of rain arrives Monday, with a 20% chance of isolated thunderstorms, increasing to 30% by Tuesday. Until then, residents should limit strenuous outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours and monitor for any air quality alerts.

More heat is expected through early next week—additional advisories may be issued by Sunday.
