Memphis, TN — A heat advisory is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM today for the Missouri Bootheel, northeast Arkansas, and parts of north Mississippi. Heat indices are expected to reach around 106 degrees in these areas. Elsewhere, heat indices will still hover at or above 100 degrees.

The weekend will bring further relief with highs of 87 degrees on Saturday and 85 degrees on Sunday, accompanied by clear skies.
