Tennessee Flood Warning: Wolf River at Germantown to Stay Above Flood Stage Until Friday Afternoon

Germantown, TN – The National Weather Service has extended a flood warning for the Wolf River at Germantown, predicting minor flooding will persist until Friday afternoon.

As of 7:45 PM CDT Monday, the river was at 22.7 feet, and it is forecast to rise to 23.7 feet by Thursday morning. The river is expected to fall below flood stage (20.5 feet) by late Friday morning.

Fields near Shelby Farms are already experiencing flooding near Farm Road as the river continues to rise. Areas near the river should remain vigilant as the situation develops.

The National Weather Service urges residents to take precautions when encountering flooded roads. “Turn around, don’t drown” is the key safety advice, as most flood-related fatalities occur in vehicles.
