Tennessee Crime Alert: Argument Over Dog at KFC Turns Deadly—Nashville Man Charged with Murder

Nashville, TN – A Nashville man faces a criminal homicide charge after allegedly gunning down a stranger outside a KFC on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard.

According to Metro Nashville Police, Isaiah Alexander Maston, 30, shot a 40-year-old man following an argument. The dispute began when Maston’s unleashed bulldog approached the victim and a woman outside the restaurant. Words were exchanged before the victim and the woman walked away. That’s when Maston allegedly pulled a gun and opened fire.

The victim was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died.

Maston fled the scene but was found soon after, sitting on the steps of a nearby apartment complex. Officer Keegan Winchell arrested him without incident. Authorities took Maston’s dog into Metro Animal Control custody.

Maston is charged with criminal homicide and aggravated assault. His bond is set at $210,000.
