Nashville, TN – Middle Tennessee residents should prepare for a wet and stormy start to the week as heavy rain arrives late Monday night into Tuesday. Strong showers could lead to localized flooding, especially along major roadways like I-65 and I-24.

According to the National Weather Service, showers will begin after midnight Monday, with rainfall intensifying through Tuesday. The high will reach 44°F, and precipitation chances remain near 100%. Winds from the northeast at 5 mph could make conditions feel cooler. By Tuesday night, the rain will persist, with additional showers expected into Wednesday.

On Wednesday, temperatures will rise to 52°F, but another round of showers will arrive in the afternoon. Rain will continue into Wednesday night before tapering off Thursday morning. Partly sunny skies will return Thursday, with a high of 43°F, followed by a colder night with lows around 25°F.

Drivers should exercise caution on wet roads and allow extra travel time. Flood-prone areas could see standing water, so residents are advised to stay weather-aware. Expect clearer skies by the weekend, with temperatures gradually warming into the 50s.
