Teen Driver From Indiana Wrecks Crashes Into Michigan Home, Passenger Injured

Cass County, MI – A juvenile driver from Elkhart, Indiana, crashed into a residence Monday afternoon in Penn Township, Michigan. The single-vehicle accident happened near M-60 and Calvin Center Road.

Sheriff Clint Roach said the crash occurred at 2:10 p.m. The driver swerved to avoid another vehicle and left the road. The car then struck a residence before coming to a stop.

A juvenile passenger from Vandalia, Michigan, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. EMS transported the passenger to Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital for treatment. The driver was not injured. No one inside the home was harmed during the crash.

SMCAS Ambulance and Penn Township Fire assisted at the scene. Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
