Teen Cold Case: Missing Maine Girl’s Disappearance Remains Unsolved Nearly Four Decades Later

Jay, ME – A 17-year-old woman from Jay, Maine, has been missing for nearly 39 years. Kimberly Moreau was last seen at approximately midnight on May 9, 1986, in the company of an individual she had met earlier that day. She has not been seen or heard from since, despite numerous extensive searches across the region.

Authorities believe foul play may have been involved in the disappearance of Moreau. Despite years of investigation, the case remains unsolved. According to Maine State Police, numerous leads have been followed, but they have yet to uncover any definitive answers about her whereabouts.

The Maine Department of Public Safety is urging anyone with information to come forward. The case remains open, and investigators are hopeful that new tips could bring resolution.
