According to the National Weather Service, showers will continue overnight, with lows reaching 40°F and gusty northeast winds up to 18 mph. Residents should prepare for wind chill temperatures near freezing early Thursday morning. Showers are expected to taper off by Thursday afternoon, but high temperatures will struggle to climb beyond the low 50s. North winds at 6–9 mph will keep conditions brisk. Friday morning temperatures are forecast to drop even further, with lows near 35°F.
Looking ahead, a warming trend will begin this weekend. Saturday’s high will reach 59°F under sunny skies, with calm winds offering relief from the cold. By Sunday, Tampa will see highs nearing 71°F, signaling a return to milder conditions.
