Tampa, FL – The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday morning at a convenience store on Clewis Avenue in Tampa.
According to HCSO, deputies were called to the store around 11:29 a.m. after reports that an individual had entered the location suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
At approximately 11:58 a.m., deputies located and detained a suspect a short distance from the scene. Authorities have not released the suspect’s name or possible motive as the investigation remains active.
