Tampa, Florida – A stretch of warm, sunny weather will continue across the Tampa Bay region through the weekend, paired with recurring overnight and early morning fog that could briefly slow travel during the morning commute. Afternoon conditions will remain pleasant and dry, making for a classic Florida winter warm-up before changes arrive early next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay, mostly sunny skies are expected each day with high temperatures climbing into the lower to mid-80s across west central and southwest Florida. Overnight lows will settle into the upper 50s to lower 60s, creating ideal conditions for fog to develop late at night and linger into the early morning hours, especially near inland waterways and low-lying areas.

Cities including Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Lakeland, Brooksville, and Bradenton could see pockets of reduced visibility around sunrise. Fog should dissipate by mid-morning, giving way to sunshine and light winds through the afternoon. No rain is expected, and humidity levels will remain comfortable for outdoor activities.

Drivers are urged to use caution during the early morning hours, allowing extra time and using low-beam headlights in fog-prone areas. This warm and dry pattern holds through the weekend before a cold front moves through early next week, bringing cooler and drier air. Additional updates are expected as that front approaches.
