Tampa, FL – A cold front moving across the region late Wednesday will bring a brief chance of showers, followed by gusty winds and a notable cooldown across the Tampa Bay area, according to the National Weather Service Tampa Bay.
Forecasters say showers are possible late Wednesday evening, mainly north of the bay, before drier and cooler air filters in overnight. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the Gulf waters late Wednesday through early Friday morning, with breezy northwest winds creating rough conditions for boaters.
By Thursday, skies will turn mostly sunny and less humid, with highs in the upper 60s to mid-70s. Friday and Saturday will feature sunny, pleasant weather with highs in the 70s and overnight lows dipping into the 40s and 50s — a noticeable change from recent humid conditions.
Temperatures will gradually warm back into the low 80s by Sunday, marking a mild and comfortable Halloween weekend across west-central Florida.
