The National Weather Service has issued a Hurricane Warning for Tampa Bay waters, effective immediately. Winds are expected to reach 55-75 knots, with gusts up to 120 knots, and seas ranging from 21 to 26 feet.

According to the latest advisory, tropical storm-force winds could begin as early as Wednesday morning, with hurricane conditions expected by Wednesday afternoon. Mariners are advised to stay in port or secure vessels immediately to avoid hazardous conditions. Storm conditions are anticipated to last through Thursday afternoon.

Inland areas, including Chiefland, Bronson, and Williston, are also under a Hurricane Warning, with winds potentially reaching 110 mph. Widespread power outages, road closures, and extensive property damage are expected. Residents should complete preparations and follow evacuation orders.

Additionally, a Flood Watch is in effect, with up to 8 inches of rainfall expected in some areas. Flash flooding, road washouts, and emergency evacuations may occur. Local officials urge residents to stay informed of updates and follow safety precautions.
