Tallahassee, Florida – Florida’s run of hot, mostly dry days will take a stormy turn by Tuesday afternoon as thunderstorms build across the Tallahassee region, possibly disrupting travel on I-10 and other key corridors.

According to the National Weather Service, a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms returns to Tallahassee after 2 p.m. Tuesday, with temperatures climbing to a sweltering 93°F. Southwesterly winds between 5 and 10 mph may offer limited relief. Drivers should be alert for slick roads and brief visibility drops during passing downpours.

The chance of storms continues into Tuesday night, particularly before 8 p.m., followed by clearing skies and a low near 71°F. The pattern remains unsettled into Wednesday, with a 40 percent chance of afternoon storms and near-identical high temperatures. Storm chances continue Wednesday night as a 30 percent risk lingers before midnight.

By Thursday, the probability of rain rises, with showers and thunderstorms likely, especially after 2 p.m. Highs remain in the low 90s, but expect greater humidity and scattered heavy showers. Rain continues into Thursday night, and Friday brings more of the same with a 30 percent storm chance and a high near 88°F.
