Tallahassee, FL – The National Weather Service says North Florida will remain largely dry this week, with only a slight chance for light showers from Sunday afternoon through early Monday.
Forecasters report a 20–35% chance of rain, mainly across the Florida Big Bend and southwest Georgia, including Apalachicola, Bainbridge, and Tallahassee. Any rainfall that does occur will be light—less than a quarter inch, which will not be enough to bring meaningful drought relief.
“This will be the only rain chance through next Friday,” the NWS Tallahassee office noted in its Saturday update. Cloud cover may increase briefly during the passing disturbance, but skies are expected to clear by Monday afternoon.
Looking ahead, November’s temperature outlook calls for near-normal readings, while precipitation chances lean below average for much of the Southeast. That means the region may continue to experience dry conditions into mid-month.
Residents are encouraged to conserve water and remain aware of fire weather risks if dry conditions persist.
