Florida starts the morning cool and quiet, but a fast warmup is already underway across the Panhandle. Sunshine breaks through early clouds, and temperatures are climbing out of the low 40s toward the mid-70s this afternoon. A light breeze will shift south, pulling in even milder air by midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Tallahassee, highs reach 74 degrees today under mostly sunny skies. Patchy fog may redevelop late tonight into early Wednesday, with lows near 52. By Wednesday afternoon, temperatures surge to 77 degrees with partial sunshine.

The real February warmth builds by Thursday. Highs approach 80 degrees, nearly 10 to 15 degrees above average for this time of year. A 20 percent chance of showers develops Thursday, increasing to 30 percent Thursday night. Roads remain dry for most of the day, but a brief shower could dampen I-10 and Monroe Street during the evening commute. Keep sunglasses handy, then keep an umbrella nearby by late Thursday.

Friday holds near 82 degrees with a 30 percent chance of showers. Humidity ticks up, giving the air a slightly muggy feel. Scattered showers remain possible into Saturday, mainly during the afternoon.

By Sunday, cooler air slides in with highs near 67. Skies clear Sunday night, and temperatures drop sharply into the upper 30s. While no freeze is expected now, late-winter cold snaps can still surprise North Florida gardeners. Monitor updates if you have sensitive plants.

Looking ahead, the 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures across much of the Southeast. Spring warmth appears ready to stretch into early next week.
