Sykesville, MD – Four people were arrested Sunday morning following an alleged shoplifting incident at a Walmart Supercenter in Carroll County, according to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at approximately 11:07 a.m. Sunday, December 14, to the Walmart Supercenter located at 6400 Ridge Road in Sykesville for a report of a theft in progress. Store personnel reported that multiple suspects allegedly pushed shopping carts filled with merchandise out of the store without paying.

Authorities said the suspects fled the area in a white Chevrolet Impala traveling eastbound on Route 26. With assistance from troopers with the Maryland State Police, deputies searched the surrounding area and located the vehicle in the 6100 block of Monroe Avenue.

All four occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody without incident. Deputies recovered the allegedly stolen merchandise from Walmart, along with multiple glass smoking devices and containers holding suspected residue from controlled dangerous substances, according to officials.

The suspects were identified as Milo Darren Bary-Parhjam, 35, of Baltimore; Regina Elizabeth Musa, 50, of Baltimore; Kenneth James Parham, 36, of Halethorpe; and Lauren Kimberly Thomas, 43, of Friendship.

Authorities said all four individuals were charged with theft, possession of controlled dangerous substances (not cannabis), and possession of CDS paraphernalia. Investigators identified Kenneth Parham as the driver of the vehicle at the time it was located. In addition to the theft and drug-related charges, Parham was also charged with obstruction, driving on a suspended license, and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock as required.

Parham and Thomas were released on their own recognizance. Musa was released on an unsecured personal bond. As of Monday, Bary-Parhjam remained in custody at the Carroll County Detention Center.

All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
