Millsboro, DE – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash after a woman died in a golf cart accident Sunday evening in the Pot-Nets Bayside community.

According to Delaware State Police, the crash happened on September 14, 2025, around 7:00 p.m. A Venom EV Golf Cart was traveling north on Piney Crest Lane when the front passenger fell from the vehicle and sustained critical injuries. Troopers said the woman, a 35-year-old from Millsboro, was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of her family.

The driver, a 44-year-old woman also from Millsboro, was not injured in the incident. Authorities noted that the golf cart did not collide with any other object but are investigating the fall as a fatal crash.
