Georgetown, Delaware – A 26-year-old man was arrested after a drug investigation on Union Drive uncovered multiple controlled substances and paraphernalia.
According to Delaware State Police, Jayson Willin, of Georgetown, was taken into custody March 17 following a coordinated response by the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force and Probation and Parole officers to the 500 block of Union Drive.
Authorities said officers made contact with Willin, who allegedly attempted to flee before being apprehended. During a search of his person, officers reportedly found approximately 6.97 grams of cocaine, 1.45 grams of crack cocaine, 0.52 grams of methamphetamine, and buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual strips, along with a digital scale and drug paraphernalia.
Police said Willin was briefly placed in a probation officer’s vehicle but was able to exit before being quickly apprehended again. During a subsequent administrative search of his residence, officers allegedly located an additional 19.96 grams of cocaine, baking soda, a digital scale, and Pyrex measuring containers.
Willin was transported to Troop 4, where he was charged with multiple felony offenses, including possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and operating or attempting to operate a clandestine laboratory. Additional misdemeanor charges were also filed.
