Newark, DE – Delaware State Police have arrested two suspects — a 21-year-old man from Newark and a 16-year-old from Wilmington — in connection with an armed robbery at a Motel 6 earlier this month.

According to Delaware State Police, the incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. on October 15, 2025, at 100 McIntosh Plaza in Newark. Investigators said a woman met a man online and agreed to meet at the motel. When the man arrived, another male suspect allegedly approached armed with a handgun and demanded the victim’s money and property before both fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

Through investigative means, detectives identified Wah’kee Tabron, 21, and the juvenile as the suspects. Warrants were obtained for their arrests, police said.

Tabron, who was already in custody at the Sussex Correctional Institution, was charged on October 24, 2025, with first-degree robbery and second-degree conspiracy. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and held on a $32,000 secured bond.

The 16-year-old male, already held at the Department of Services for Children, Youth & Their Families, was also charged with the same offenses and remains in custody on a $15,000 cash bond.

Authorities said the investigation remains active but did not report any additional suspects or injuries.
