Seaford, Delaware – A routine traffic stop in Seaford Tuesday night led to the arrest of two individuals on drug and stolen vehicle charges, according to Delaware State Police.
According to Delaware State Police, a trooper from Troop 5 observed a 2009 Lincoln MKX traveling along Concord Road around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday. A check of the vehicle revealed it had been reported stolen by the Salisbury Police Department in Maryland.
After stopping the vehicle without incident, troopers identified the occupants as 53-year-old Lisa Savage of Salisbury, Maryland, and 47-year-old Lavarr Holbrook of Seaford, Delaware. Both were taken into custody at the scene.
During a search of the vehicle and suspects, troopers allegedly located drug paraphernalia belonging to Savage, along with approximately 1.53 grams of heroin and 0.76 grams of crack cocaine concealed on Holbrook’s person, police said.
Savage was transported to Troop 5, where she was charged with receiving stolen property over $1,500 (felony), possession of drug paraphernalia not related to marijuana, and driving without a valid license. She was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $3,200 cash bond.
Holbrook was also taken to Troop 5 and charged with manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (felony), possession or consumption of a controlled or counterfeit substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia not related to marijuana. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 7 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $4,400 cash bond.
Police note that all charges are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
