Ellendale, DE – A Seaford man was arrested Tuesday night in Sussex County after a traffic stop led to multiple charges, including felony gun offenses and DUI.

According to Delaware State Police, troopers stopped a white Hyundai Sonata around 10:32 p.m. on September 9, 2025, near South Old State Road and New Hope Road. The driver, identified as 38-year-old Duonne Green, was allegedly not wearing a seatbelt, and a computer check showed the car’s registration was suspended for no insurance.

During the stop, troopers reported that Green showed signs of impairment. When he exited the vehicle, police allegedly spotted a handgun in his pocket and detained him. Investigators later determined Green is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition and also has a suspended driver’s license.

Green was taken to Delaware State Police Troop 7, where police say he refused field sobriety testing. He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 7 on multiple charges, including felony firearm possession and DUI. Authorities said he was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $21,202 cash bond.
