Sussex County, DE Arrest: Frankford Man Allegedly Found With Drugs, Gun During Parole Search

Frankford, DE – A 20-year-old man from Frankford was arrested on multiple felony gun and drug charges after a Probation and Parole search uncovered illegal substances and a firearm in his residence Monday night, according to the Delaware State Police.

Authorities said the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on November 11, 2025, when the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force was called to assist probation officers during a search of a home on Frankford Avenue. During the search, officers allegedly discovered crack cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a Glock 9mm handgun.

Police noted that a child was present in the home at the time of the search. The suspect, identified by police as Malachi Mahon, was detained without incident.

Following the search, Mahon was charged with multiple offenses, including possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $36,601 cash bond.

The Delaware State Police continue to investigate.
