Columbia, SC – High pressure will continue to dominate the weather pattern across Columbia and much of the Eastern United States today, bringing another day of mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures. Highs are expected to reach 78°F this afternoon, just a degree or two warmer than yesterday.

According to the National Weather Service in Columbia, calm winds will shift to the northeast later today, increasing to around 5 to 7 mph. The weather will remain dry and clear through the evening, with overnight lows dropping to a cool 50°F. This pattern of sunny and warm weather will persist through the workweek, with highs gradually climbing into the low 80s by Wednesday.

Residents can expect perfect conditions for outdoor activities throughout the week, with no significant changes in the forecast. As high pressure remains in control, there is little chance for rain, allowing Columbia to enjoy a stretch of pleasant fall weather.

Looking ahead, Thursday and Friday will bring continued sunshine, with highs in the low 80s and clear skies at night. The next chance of a shift in weather patterns may not come until late in the weekend. Stay tuned for updates and enjoy the sunshine.
