Sunny and Warm Days for the Quad Cities, Cooler Start to Next Week

Moline, IL – Sunny skies and warm temperatures will dominate the weather in the Quad Cities this weekend, with a high of 81 degrees expected today. Southeast winds around 5 mph will accompany the warm weather as clear skies continue overnight, with a low near 53 degrees.

Friday will be even warmer, with a high near 87 degrees. Southwest winds will pick up slightly, gusting as high as 20 mph. Friday night will see partly cloudy skies, with a low of 57 degrees.

As the weekend progresses, Saturday will bring more sunshine and a high of 75, cooling off Saturday night to around 48 degrees. Sunday will be another warm and sunny day, with temperatures reaching 67 degrees, but overnight lows will drop to 39.

Looking ahead, cooler weather will settle in by Columbus Day with a high near 58. Early next week, frost is likely on Monday and Tuesday mornings, as lows dip into the mid-30s. Be prepared to protect any sensitive plants from the colder temperatures.
