Detroit, MI – The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac reports that light snow and flurries are expected across southeast Michigan through the weekend, followed by bitterly cold temperatures to start the new week.
After a few flurries today, more widespread snowfall will arrive early Sunday morning, bringing 0.5 to 1.5 inches of accumulation across much of the region. Snow will taper off by afternoon, but roads may become slick, particularly during the morning commute.
Monday will bring the coldest air of the season so far, with morning lows between 4°F and 16°F and wind chills near or below 0°F. Skies will clear later in the day, but another chance of light snow returns Tuesday.
