MANHATTAN, IL – A shocking scene unfolded Sunday evening around 7:00 pm when an ATV bolted from the Manhattan Police on Rt. 52.
According to reports the renegade driver barrel through White Feather subdivision, narrowly missing a cul-de-sac filled with children at the time.
Opting for safety over pursuit, officers ceased the chase. The public is urged by Det. Raske to share any relevant information or doorbell camera clips by calling 815-478-4408. The hunt for the driver continues.
