Sumter, SC – The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying three suspects allegedly involved in a business burglary on Peach Orchard Road early Tuesday morning.
According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 12:02 a.m. Tuesday, October 28, to reports of a break-in at a business in the 2200 block of Peach Orchard Road. Investigators say the suspects threw an object through the front door to gain entry before stealing several items, including vape devices, and fleeing the scene.
Security camera footage reportedly shows the suspects inside the store taking merchandise. Officials said the video also captured their voices and possibly a name.
“Sumter County citizens are generally honest, hard-working people, but there are those who choose to steal and take what is not theirs,” Sheriff Anthony Dennis said. “These criminals hurt individuals, businesses, and the reputation of our county. We are better than this — and many times good citizens step up, share a tip, earn a reward, and help bring criminals to justice.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office at 803-436-2000 or 911 after hours. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at www.p3tips.com or via the “P3 Tips” mobile app. Tipsters may remain anonymous and could earn a cash reward.
