Fairbanks, AK – The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Fairbanks area and surrounding interior Alaska, effective from 3:00 AM Friday to 3:00 AM AKST Saturday.
Residents should prepare for several inches of snow and blowing snow, leading to slick travel and reduced visibility throughout Friday and into Saturday morning.

- Snowfall Totals:
- 4–6 inches expected across the Fairbanks area.
- Higher elevations could see locally heavier amounts.
- 1–2 inches expected north and east near Beaver, Stevens Village, and Circle.
- Timing:
- Snow begins early Friday morning (around 3–5 AM).
- Steadier snow continues through the daytime hours Friday.
- Snow tapers overnight into early Saturday morning.

- Wind Gusts: Up to 45 mph across higher terrain and 30 mph at lower elevations.
