Streator, IL – Motorcycle Crash Claims Life of 33-Year-Old Man

Streator, IL – A 33-year-old man died following a motorcycle crash Saturday evening at the corner of Main and Illinois streets.

According to Streator Police Department, an officer observed the motorcycle being driven with no working taillights near Powell and Livingston streets. The officer attempted a traffic stop with emergency lights and spotlight activated.

The motorcyclist continued northbound on Illinois Street, made a left turn onto Main Street, and then a quick right turn back onto Illinois Street. The rider failed to make the turn and was ejected from the motorcycle. Streator Fire Department responded, and the injured man was airlifted to Peoria, where he later died from his injuries.
