Cleveland, Ohio – Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to move into northern Ohio late Monday, bringing a wet and potentially stormy evening to cities like Canton, Akron, and Mansfield.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, the day will start dry across most of the region, with rain chances increasing from the south during the afternoon and evening hours. Canton faces the highest likelihood of precipitation at 45%, while Akron and Mansfield see chances near 34%–30%. Cleveland and Sandusky will likely stay drier, with only a 19% and 18% chance of rain, respectively.

Temperatures will climb into the upper 70s to low 80s across northern Ohio, including highs of 82°F in Mansfield and Findlay, 81°F in Cleveland, and 80°F in Canton and Youngstown. With heat building through the day, pop-up thunderstorms may impact evening commutes on I-77 and I-71.

Residents in the southern part of the forecast area should stay weather-aware, especially during late afternoon plans. Keep mobile alerts on, and avoid driving through heavy rain or ponding on roads.

Showers may linger through the evening, but skies are expected to clear overnight. Additional advisories may be issued if storms intensify.
