According to the NWS, there is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms, with the primary hazards being large hail and damaging winds. Areas including Kansas City, St. Joseph, and Columbia should prepare for potentially hazardous weather conditions.
The forecast for Kansas City on Sunday shows mostly clear skies with temperatures ranging from a low of 64°F in the morning to a high of 81°F in the afternoon. On Monday, there is a 55% chance of rain with a high of 85°F. Tuesday’s weather is expected to be sunny with a high of 74°F before the storms move in later in the day.
The mid-week forecast includes a 45% chance of showers on Wednesday with a high of 73°F and more rain possible on Thursday. The weekend outlook is cooler with highs in the mid-60s and partly cloudy skies.
