Little Rock, AR – Much of Arkansas remains under a Wind Advisory through 7 p.m. CDT Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, as strong northwest winds sweep across the state behind a passing cold front.
According to the National Weather Service in Little Rock, sustained northwest winds of 15–25 mph with gusts reaching 35–40 mph are expected through the afternoon. The strongest winds will occur along the higher terrain of western and northern Arkansas, including the Ozarks and Ouachita Mountains.
Residents can expect blowing debris, isolated power outages, and difficult driving conditions, particularly for high-profile vehicles and those towing trailers. Boaters should also use caution, as choppy lake waters will make navigation hazardous.
Forecasters say winds will gradually weaken tonight as cooler, drier air continues to move in. Temperatures are expected to drop into the 40s overnight, with calmer conditions Thursday.
