State College, Pennsylvania – Central Pennsylvania kicks off the new week locked into a dry and sunny pattern that’s showing no signs of letting up. For State College and communities across Centre County, no measurable rain is expected through at least Friday, with warmer temperatures climbing daily.

According to the National Weather Service and NOAA’s 6–10 day precipitation outlook, State College sits squarely in a below-normal precipitation zone through mid-September. This means dry air, clear skies, and increased fire danger across outdoor areas and wooded regions—especially near Route 322, Bald Eagle Mountain, and Tussey Ridge.

Daytime highs will range from the low 70s Monday to near 80°F by Thursday, while overnight lows drop into the upper 40s. Wind speeds remain light and variable, making for great outdoor conditions—but also limiting natural fire suppression. Officials urge residents to avoid open burning and monitor any fire pit use closely.

Agricultural and water-sensitive industries should begin monitoring soil and vegetation dryness, as longer-term dry trends could develop if this pattern continues through next weekend.

There are no rain systems on the radar for at least the next five days.
