Stafford, VA – As the federal government shutdown continues to affect families across Northern Virginia, Vocelli Pizza North Stafford is stepping up to help. The locally owned pizzeria announced a free pizza giveaway this Thursday, November 6, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., for any furloughed federal employee and their family.
The event will take place at Vocelli Pizza – North Stafford, located at 44 Mine Road, and offers one large free cheese or pepperoni pizza per furloughed household. Participants are asked to show their Federal Government ID at the time of pickup.
Vocelli Pizza first launched the initiative earlier this fall, receiving overwhelming gratitude from local families who were affected by previous pay delays. “Every family deserves to share a warm meal and a smile,” the restaurant’s team said, adding that the community’s generosity inspired them to bring the giveaway back.
The event is being held in partnership with Stafford County Schools, Performance Food Group, Leprino Foods, and Pepsi, as part of the company’s ongoing “Partner in Education” program.
