Tampa, Florida – Breezy conditions and scattered showers are expected Sunday ahead of a cold front, with highs reaching the mid-80s along the I-275 corridor.

According to the National Weather Service in Tampa Bay, generally pleasant weather will continue through Saturday across west-central and southwest Florida. Patchy late night and early morning fog is possible each day, particularly inland.

High temperatures Wednesday through Saturday will range from 70 to 83 degrees, including near 80 in Tampa and Clearwater and low 80s in Sarasota and Lakeland. Morning lows will dip into the 40s and 50s in inland areas, with coastal locations staying milder.

Rain chances remain minimal through Saturday, generally near 0 to 20 percent. However, a stronger system is expected to approach Sunday, bringing breezy southerly winds and increasing shower coverage.

Rain probabilities Sunday range from 30 to 80 percent, with scattered to numerous showers possible. Gusty winds may create choppy marine conditions and hazardous boating conditions along the Gulf Coast.

Drivers along Interstate 275 in Tampa, Interstate 75 near Sarasota and Bradenton, U.S. Highway 19 through Clearwater, and the Polk Parkway near Lakeland should prepare for wet pavement and reduced visibility during heavier showers Sunday afternoon.

Outdoor events may be impacted Sunday as showers move through ahead of the cold front.
