St. Louis Weekend Weather: Thunderstorms and a Sunny Sunday

St. Louis, MO – Residents should prepare for a weekend of varied weather, with thunderstorms expected through Saturday before clearer skies prevail on Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), Friday will see a 50% chance of thunderstorms, particularly north of I-70, with highs ranging from 82 to 88 degrees. Friday night, the likelihood of thunderstorms increases to between 50% and 80%, with lows around 71 to 75 degrees. Saturday will continue the trend with a 40% chance of thunderstorms and temperatures reaching between 88 to 93 degrees. Saturday night, storms are expected to taper off, with temperatures dropping to between 64 to 70 degrees.

Sunday promises a break from the rain, with mostly sunny skies and highs between 79 and 84 degrees, making it the best day for outdoor activities. Early next week, clear and pleasant weather is expected to continue, with sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s on Monday.

Looking further ahead, the forecast indicates a potential return of thunderstorms by midweek, with a 35% chance on Wednesday and a 55% chance on Thursday. The following Friday also shows a 45% chance of thunderstorms, with temperatures slightly cooler, reaching highs around 78 degrees.

With the possibility of significant rainfall and thunderstorms over the weekend, residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and take necessary precautions. The NWS emphasizes that while not everyone will experience rain, localized significant rain is possible, particularly in the northern regions.
