St. Louis, MO – Missouri residents can expect another stretch of hot weather paired with daily storm chances through the end of the workweek. Highs will remain in the low 90s from Monday through Thursday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in St. Louis.
According to NWS forecasters, afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible each day, with rain chances ranging from 15 to 30 percent early in the week and peaking at 40 to 50 percent by Thursday and Friday. Forecasters note that heat and humidity may make conditions feel even warmer.
Relief is on the horizon, however. Friday marks the beginning of a cooldown, with high temperatures expected to dip into the low-to-mid 80s by Saturday. The change is anticipated to bring more comfortable conditions heading into the weekend.
The NWS urges residents to stay alert for changing weather patterns, as pop-up storms could impact travel and outdoor activities. Thunderstorms this time of year can bring gusty winds and brief heavy downpours.
The shift to cooler weather is expected to last into the weekend, offering a break from the lingering summer heat.
