St. Louis, MO – Missouri residents can expect summer heat to hold strong this week, with temperatures climbing into the 90s and only limited chances for rain.

According to the National Weather Service St. Louis, daytime highs will range between 90 and 97 degrees, with the warmest stretch arriving over the weekend. Despite the high heat, forecasters note that humidity levels will remain relatively low, offering some relief compared to earlier summer conditions.

The agency said rain chances will stay between 10–20%, with only sporadic afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible beginning Sunday. “Most will stay dry,” the NWS emphasized, meaning outdoor activities and travel plans will likely proceed without widespread weather disruptions.

The extended hot spell comes as many schools and outdoor workers continue adjusting to late-season heat. Officials recommend staying hydrated, limiting strenuous activities during peak afternoon hours, and checking on vulnerable neighbors as temperatures climb toward the upper 90s.

Residents across St. Louis County, St. Charles County, and surrounding metro areas should prepare for several days of above-average heat, though cooler mornings may offer brief breaks before the afternoons warm back up.

The NWS will continue to monitor storm development into early next week, but forecasters stress that conditions should remain mostly stable and dry across the region.
