St. Louis, Missouri – A gradual snowmelt will continue across the region as temperatures trend warmer following several weeks of colder-than-normal conditions, according to the National Weather Service in St. Louis.
In a community weather update posted Tuesday, the National Weather Service said that while temperatures will fluctuate day to day, overall conditions will be considerably warmer than the past three weeks, allowing for continued melting of remaining snow.
Forecast graphics show high temperatures ranging from the 30s to upper 40s Thursday, warming into the 40s and 50s by Friday and Sunday, with overnight lows generally in the teens to low 30s. Conditions are expected to be mostly cloudy to partly cloudy through the period.
The agency noted that the warming trend will support additional snowmelt in the days ahead but did not indicate any watches, warnings, or advisories associated with the update.
Residents are encouraged to remain aware of changing local conditions as melting continues, particularly in areas where snow remains on the ground.
