St. Louis Region Hit by 10 Tornadoes: New Surveys Confirm Extent of Sunday Damage

St. Louis, MO – Three additional tornadoes were confirmed from the storms on Sunday, increasing the total number to 10 across the broader St. Louis region.

According to the National Weather Service, the tornadoes struck Reynolds, Iron, and Madison counties on Sunday, May 26. Surveys conducted on Thursday revealed the extent of the damage. An EF-0 tornado with 62 mph winds hit Ellington, MO, covering 4.47 miles. Redford, MO, experienced another EF-0 tornado with 60 mph winds over 3.26 miles. The third tornado, affecting Annapolis, MO, spanned 18.23 miles across three counties.

No injuries or fatalities have been reported.
