St. Louis, MO – Missouri is heading into an unusually warm stretch today and Saturday, with temperatures running 15 to 20 degrees above normal before a sharp cooldown and increasing rain chances arrive early next week.

According to the National Weather Service in St. Louis, highs today are expected to reach 74–78 degrees, with Saturday remaining warm in the 71–76 degree range. The warm pattern continues through Sunday, though temperatures begin trending downward into the upper 50s to mid-60s by late afternoon. No rain is expected through the weekend.

Forecasters say a stronger push of cooler air arrives Sunday night into Monday. Highs Monday are projected between 54–61 degrees, with rain chances increasing from 30% early to 70% by evening. Areas from northern Missouri to southern Illinois may see temperatures vary widely as boundaries shift across the region.

By Tuesday, highs cool further into the 50–65 degree range with 10% rain chances, before another uptick arrives Wednesday (30–40%) and Thursday, when the best chances of widespread rain return with 70–80% likelihood.

Lows will also drop steadily through mid-week—from the upper 50s Saturday night to the lower 30s by Wednesday morning, signaling a much cooler pattern settling in.

According to meteorologists, skies will shift from mostly sunny through Saturday to partly cloudy and unsettled next week, with multiple rounds of showers possible.
