St. Louis, MO – Residents across the St. Louis region should prepare for another round of warmer temperatures beginning Friday, though forecasters say it will not be as hot as earlier in September.
According to the National Weather Service in St. Louis, daily highs are expected to climb into the low-to-mid 80s through Wednesday, September 30. Friday will start with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s, followed by highs of 83–86 degrees Saturday through Monday. Conditions are expected to remain above the seasonal average of 72–78 degrees.
Forecasters also emphasized that dry weather will persist throughout the weekend and into early next week, with little to no chance of rain in the metro area and surrounding counties. That means outdoor plans should remain unaffected, but the stretch of dry days could add to ongoing concerns about low soil moisture levels across eastern Missouri and southwest Illinois.
The National Weather Service said the region should not see excessive heat levels like earlier this month, but warmer afternoons and cool nights will continue into the middle of next week.
