St. Louis, MO – Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are expected to pass through the St. Louis area today before clearing later this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in St. Louis. Forecasters say rainfall amounts will be light, and most areas will see only brief periods of rain as the system moves from northwest to southeast.

According to the NWS, there’s a 20–30% chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms, with high temperatures ranging between 65 and 75 degrees. The rain is expected to exit the region by evening, setting the stage for a stretch of clear and mild weather through the end of the week.

From Wednesday through Friday, skies will remain clear and conditions dry, with highs mainly in the 70s and overnight lows dipping into the 40s. This stable pattern marks a return to typical early October weather across the St. Louis region.

Drivers should remain cautious during any passing showers today, as brief downpours could create slick roads during the morning and midday commute.
