. Louis, MO – A dramatic shift in weather is set to sweep through the St. Louis region this weekend, with temperatures plunging 10 to 15 degrees below normal. Daytime highs will hover around the low 70s, while overnight lows could dip into the 40s, marking a sharp contrast from recent weeks of warmer weather.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service in St. Louis, the fall-like conditions will kick in on Saturday morning, with lows ranging from 45° to 54°. Sunday is expected to be even cooler, with morning lows between 41° and 49°. The NWS also warns of near-record low temperatures Sunday morning.

Residents are encouraged to prepare for chilly evenings by keeping a jacket on hand and monitoring temperatures if they plan outdoor activities. These cooler conditions come with dry, low-humidity air, making for crisp, clear skies but cold nights. Make sure to stay warm and consider adjusting weekend plans accordingly.

Looking ahead, temperatures will begin to rise again by Monday, reaching the 80s by midweek. However, the sharp cold this weekend will serve as an early taste of fall for St. Louis.
